our story
A few words about us
Pastor Victor Alonso has been a christian for 32 years. He was raised in a religion that was simply about rituals but he did not know the One True God of the Bible. As a teenager and young adult, he spent his life chasing “a good time” in drugs, alcohol and different relationships but none brought the joy he sought. All they did was mask the emptiness he felt for a short time so his days were filled seeking more of the same.
It was a vicious cycle that left him worse than the time before until his cousin told him about Jesus. It was a cousin who he partied with in the past but he saw a change in her that he desired. He repented and gave His life to Jesus in the autumn of 1994 and his life has never been the same.
That joy that he pursued was found in a relationship with Jesus. God also blessed him with his wife Debbie and 3 children and a few years later, he had the privilege to become a preacher of the gospel and he has been in Tokyo ever since 2018.
His desire is to see many come to meet Jesus…the One who gave him love, hope and fulfillment.

The Potter’s House church is a Bible-based, Spirit filled, nondenominational family of believers. Pastor Victor, Debbie and the wonderful people here count it a privilege to welcome you to our church and minister to your spiritual needs.
Nursery and children’s ministry are available each service for infants and children (up to 8 years old). Regular services begin with praise and worship that will ready your heart for the preaching of God’s Word. After prayer requests and opening the service in prayer, we take an offering to honor the Lord then announcements are made. After that, there is the biblical preaching of God’s Word which is followed by an altar call for those who want forgiveness for their sins and also for Christians to pray.

General Statement of Faith
